Whether they were in exile fleeing Nazism or holidaying in Sanary, this 8-kilometre route honours the memory of the writers and artists who found refuge here in the early days and during the Second World War. It is marked by 21 commemorative plaques located near the living quarters of these mostly German and Austrian intellectuals.
