Come aboard the ship "Croix du Sud V" for a day of dolphin watching and stopover in Porquerolles!
Departing from the port of Sanary-sur-Mer, we offer a dolphin watching cruise (duration of 4h30 in low season and 4h in high season) off the islands of Hyères, as well as a relaxing stopover of 2h30 on the island of Porquerolles.
From the start, we may have the chance to meet bottlenose dolphins frequenting the coastal areas. As we move further out to sea and approach the underwater canyons, 3 other species of dolphins evolve:
The Blue and White Dolphin (the most abundant species in the Mediterranean,) the Risso's Dolphin and the pilot whale.
According to the encounters made and the time remaining, we will try to reach the whale zones, regularly observed.
In partnership with the biologists, naturalists and photographers of "Découverte du Vivant", we will combine emotion, knowledge and education by offering you a conference on board, as well as interventions at the microphone, dealing with biology notions on all the species encountered during the cruise. Moreover, La Croix du Sud V and the naturalists are holders of the "High Quality Whale Watching" label, a guarantee of a sustainable and respectful observation of cetaceans.
During each cruise, a report in pictures is offered free of charge by the professional photographers of Découverte du Vivant. Thus, you will be able to fully enjoy the encounters without worrying about the souvenir photo.
You will also disembark for a free stopover on the island of Porquerolles. This is the opportunity to take a short hike (on foot or by bike) to discover its picturesque village, its wild landscapes and its heavenly coves. Attracted by these turquoise waters, you will not resist the temptation to swim to meet its fauna and its underwater flora.

The sea cruise is accessible to people with the following disabilities: visual, hearing, mental. For people with reduced mobility, the boat can accommodate two classic wheelchairs (no motorized wheelchairs), knowing that the toilets are not accessible with the wheelchair because they are too narrow.
